——Optimization and renovation of cobalt hydroxide feeding line in leaching workshop

Recently, the leaching workshop has successfully completed the optimization and renovation of the cobalt hydroxide feeding line after more than two months. At the end of December 2024, the cobalt hydroxide feeding line in the leaching workshop was renovated and officially put into use, injecting new energy into the production of the enterprise while also opening up the road to overcoming difficulties.

After the feeding line was put into operation, problems followed one after another, among which the problems of material leakage and blockage in the feeding bin were particularly prominent. Leakage of materials not only causes economic losses and affects environmental hygiene, but also poses safety hazards, which can easily lead to employees slipping and falling while walking due to stepping on materials; Blockage seriously hinders the continuity of production and makes it difficult to improve production efficiency.

Faced with these issues, the workshop management quickly responded and, under the professional guidance of the technical and production departments, organized technical personnel to conduct comprehensive and detailed inspections to find the right direction for solving the problems. After in-depth analysis, the technical team finally identified the main reason for the material leakage - the spiral discharge speed of the material bin did not meet the standard. In response, technicians carried out comprehensive repairs on the sealing components at the bottom of the silo, successfully plugging the "loopholes" and ensuring that the silo can effectively prevent material leakage under normal working conditions. For the problem of material blockage, after studying the internal structure of the silo, it was found that it was caused by the material flowability and the unreasonable design of the existing discharge screw. Therefore, it was decided to dismantle the existing screw and install a diversion device inside the silo. This measure has improved material fluidity and effectively solved the problem of material blockage.

However, the impact of the silo issue is far from over. The leakage of material from the silo caused ground pollution. After washing with clean water, the concentration of cobalt solution decreased, affecting subsequent production and increasing disposal costs. In the face of difficulties, the workshop management once again demonstrated their responsibility and organized various forces to jointly discuss solutions. In response to the shortcomings of the original extensive flushing method, an innovative flushing and recycling system has been developed. By using idle tanks as flushing water storage tanks, the ground flushing water is recycled as feeding and pulping water, and a circulation pipeline is added to transport a small amount of cobalt material to the bottom of the silo as flushing and dredging fluid. These measures have successfully increased the cobalt concentration, ensured the product quality of the cobalt electric system, reduced the amount of clean water input, and achieved cost reduction in production.

After the completion of the transformation of the cobalt hydroxide feeding line, when faced with a series of complex and thorny problems, the workshop management personnel, technical department, equipment department machine maintenance, and job staff all thought and worked together, fully exerting their wisdom and strength, successfully solving a series of problems such as material leakage, blockage, and low cobalt concentration in the silo. This not only reflects the perseverance and innovative spirit of the workshop in the face of difficulties, but also accumulates valuable experience for future production.
